WILLIS S. “BUD” WEAGLY, JR.

Willis S. “Bud” Weagly, Jr., 82, formerly of Edenton, NC, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013 in the Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, PA.

He was born on June 13, 1930 in New Brighton, PA to the late Willis S. and Alberta E. (Kross) Weagly.

Bud was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Kopper’s Co. as a foreman.

He was a member of Edenton United Methodist Church, Unanimity Lodge F&AM of Edenton, a longtime member of the Lions Club and a member of the Albemarle Sound Barbershop Quartet.

Bud was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and served on the Governor’s 1 on 1 program as a mentor.

Surviving are his wife Thelma J. (Hage) Weagly, a daughter Cynthia Frye and her husband Ron of Elizabethtown, PA, three sons Philip Weagly and his wife Lesa of Jacksonville, FL, David Weagly and his wife Lori of Quakertown, PA, John Weagly and his wife Luann of Winston-Salem, NC, eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date in Edenton, NC.
