Virginia “Ginny” Mae (Baker) Basehore, 88, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born Saturday, October 15, 1932, in New Cumberland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde L. and Clara M. (Bower) Baker. She was married to Robert M. Basehore for over 38 years until his death on December 6, 1992.
Virginia worked as a Customer Service Representative for Time Warner Inc. Book of the Month Club. She was a member of The Alliance Church of Elizabethtown and a past member of the Greater Harrisburg Chorus, Sweet Adelines. In addition, she was an avid PA sports team enthusiast, with her favorite teams being the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles.
She is survived by two daughters: Patricia “Pat” Brubaker, of Elizabethtown and Judith “Judy” Weibley, married to John, of Norfolk, VA. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Matt Weibley, Alex Brubaker and Annie Swanburg, as well as four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dan Weibley, a brother, Ralph Baker and a son-in-law, Darrell Brubaker.
Private interment will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543
