Scott Jennings Lewis, 62, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born on Saturday, September 29, 1956, to Anna Mae (Jennings) Adomaitis, and the late James S. Lewis, Sr.
A 1974 graduate of Palmyra Area High School, Scott also earned an associate's degree from Thompson Institute. He lived in Seattle, Washington, for several years, retuning to Palmyra in 1982.
Those who know and love Scott are proud of his strength in living with mental illness, and feel blessed to be witness to his patience and kindness toward his mother in his many years as her companion.
Scott's family thanks the Hershey Med Center and related family practice and medical specialties for their support in this difficult year. They are grateful to the staffs of T.W. Ponessa Counseling & Associates, and Home Instead Senior Care, for the kindness and compassion they have shown to Scott.
In addition to his mother, Scott is survived by his sister, Cynthia J. Lewis, of Cumberland County, and his brother, James S. Lewis, Jr., who shares their childhood home in Palmyra with Scott. Also, living locally, are his cousins Diane Jennings, Brian Jennings, Joan Neiland, Fred and Cathy Grove, and Jon and Shelly Grove, and their families
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
Scott's mother, Anna, is in skilled nursing care, and the family requests your kindness in allowing her privacy at this time.
