Samuel A. Gingrich, 90, of Palmyra, died Monday, October 22, 2018 in Lebanon. Born Sunday, April 15, 1928 to the late Herman A. and Bertha (Wagner) Gingrich. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years, Mildred E. (Royer) Gingrich.
A 1946 Palmyra High School graduate, Sam worked for the Hershey Factory for 38 years while also working for 20 years at the post office. He had a love for auctions and antique cars and was a member of the AACA. Sam also was a part of the church choir for 70 years.
Sam is survived by 2 sons, Robert Gingrich and wife Nancy, and Timothy Gingrich and wife Stephanie; 2 daughters, Cynthia Rogers and husband Larry, and Lynda Speicher and husband Daniel; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; a brother, H. Arthur Gingrich, and a sister Miriam Runkle. He is predeceased by his sister Neda Gingrich.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 AM at the Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Dennis Lohr officiating. Viewing will be held from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow after the service at the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
