Rose J. (Pala) Zimmerman-Thierwechter, 94, of Lebanon, formerly of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at The Gardens at Blue Ridge, Harrisburg on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. She was born Thursday, April 10, 1927 to the late Davide and Pasqualina (Pichini) Pala. She is predeceased by her husband, Herman Henry Zimmerman.
Rose was a faithful catholic, she was a founding member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Palmyra and she attended St. Cecilia’s, Lebanon. She retired from Kraft Foods, Palmyra. In her free time she enjoyed playing bingo. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children: Timothy Zimmerman and wife Wendy, Arthur Zimmerman and wife Okcha Kim, and Ken Zimmerman; grandchildren, David, Timothy, Jr., and Matthew Zimmerman, Kimberly Zimmerman-Turtzo, Anita Spainhour, Bonita Shreve, Barbara Riggs, Jennifer Krouse, and Kara Zimmerman; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Dora Borzilleri and Emily Summy. She is predeceased by her siblings Matilda Mattera, Tony Pala, and Mary Vagnerini.
A private graveside will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband.
