Robert S. Hoch, Sr.

Robert S. Hoch, Sr., 91, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Middletown Home.  He was born October 17, 1929 to the late Edgar E. and Lillian (Harder) Hoch.  He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pearl Catherine (Stepp) Hoch.

Robert was a proud Army Veteran.  He was also a lifetime member of the Legion, VFW, and also member of the Grand Lodge of PA Independent (odd fellows).  Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. 

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Robert S. Hoch, Jr., Cathy Louer and husband Gary, Tom Berstler, Lin Coble, and Cindy Zimmerman; grandchildren, Todd, Justin, Marissa, Shelli, Alan, Alicia, Jennifer, and Tom, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jayana, Amanda, Alyssa, A.J., Kaden, Keara, Kya, Maddox, and Mila; great-great grandchild, Austin; and sibling, Sherod Hoch.  He is predeceased by his son, Terry Hoch, grandson, Jeffrey Hughes, and siblings, Eugene and Mervin Hoch and Dorothy Hoke. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at noon at the Hillsdale Cemetery, Middletown with military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
