Ralph E. Underwood

Ralph E. Underwood, 64, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.  Born Thursday, April 17, 1958, in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ralph E. Underwood Sr. and Dolores J. (Pierce) Underwood.  

He was first married to Margaret (Phillips) Underwood until her death on May 18, 2003.  In 2006, he was married to Nancy (Hagie) Underwood for over six years until her death on November 30, 2012.

Ralph worked for Longenecker’s Hatchery, Elizabethtown, before retiring after 27 years of service.  He loved spending time at Free Spirit Campground, Landisburg, PA, where he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a daughter, Tonya M. Underwood and her companion, Brian Eisenhart, of Elizabethtown.  Also surviving are two grandchildren: Jaelyn and Conner Eisenhart, of Elizabethtown; four siblings: William Underwood, married to Debbie, Robert Underwood, married to Kathy, Carl Underwood, married to Peggy, and David Underwood, married to Kim, all of Elizabethtown, as well as Ralph’s extended family and caring friends.

A viewing will be held at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543, on Tuesday, May 31, from 4-6 PM.  Private interment will be at the convenience of the family in Elizabethtown Mennonite Cemetery.
