Patricia Ann (Pat) Clare of Elizabethtown, resident of the Masonic Village, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2019. She was the wife of the late Ralph B. Clare to whom she was married for 15 years. Pat was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on January 23, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Landis Thome and Catherine nee Brucker Thome.
Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Melody Kulp, and their daughter Shaina Kulp, of Manheim and her step daughter Kimberly Barber and her husband Andrew Barber of Leesburg, VA. In addition, Pat is survived by two brothers, Joseph Thome and his wife Fern Thome; Newmanstown and Bruce Thome, Southhampton; and numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband C. Reuben Kulp in 1997 and by a sister Nannetta McNally and a brother Jay Thome.
Pat graduated from Lebanon High School class of 1959. She retired from the Elizabethtown Area High School cafeteria in 2000 with over 27 years of service. After retiring from the high school, she went to work at Masonic Village in the Housekeeping Department.
Pat was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church Colebrook and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Lititz Chapter #499. She also loved to collect “all things” hummingbirds.
A memorial service will be held for Pat on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Colebrook, 58 Church Road, Manheim, PA 17545. The service will be held at noon, followed by a fellowship and reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Colebrook.
