Lloyd A. Kreider, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday, September 13, 2021. He was born Thursday, July 17, 1930, to the late Josiah and Eva (Gingrich) Kreider. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Verna (See) Kreider.
Lloyd was a veteran who served in the Army as a trained medic during the Korean War. He graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and worked in retail and hospital pharmacies. Most of his career was spent working for the PA Department of Health. He was a faithful member of the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed history, reading, learning, hunting with family, and working with his hands and tools. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and son.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Keith Kreider and wife Melanie, Kent Kreider and wife Lucy, Kerry Kreider and wife Suzette, Kirby Kreider, Kirk Kreider, and Karen Peffley and husband Matthew; grandchildren, Jessie Hilliard and husband Robert, Matthew Kreider and wife Melissa, Tara Hoover and husband Daniel, Meghan Specht and husband Jordan, Sarah Kreider, Sophia Kreider, Caiden Peffley and Everett Peffley; great-grandchildren, Brayden Hilliard, Jaxon Hilliard and Bryce Kreider; and siblings, Janet Hazel, Carl Kreider and Lois Fenstermacher. He is predeceased by his siblings, Jay Kreider, Jean Barlet and Neda Thierwechter.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
