Lillian A. (Welsch) Hill

Lillian A. Hill, 75, of Marietta, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the home of her son Thomas. Born Monday, September 6, 1948 in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Marie (Fricke) Welsch.

Lillian had a passion and gift of creating.  Whether renovating multiple homes in Marietta, refinishing furniture, or growing her gardens, she brought beauty and life to everything around her.  A long time resident and pillar of the Marietta community, Lillian was most recently running for borough council.  She had a love of books, which she shared with her book club and grandchildren.  She also loved animals and rescued many otherwise unwanted animals throughout the years. A friend to all, Lillian created deep and meaningful relationships with almost anyone she happened to meet.  She was a kind and generous soul and will be missed greatly by her family and the vast network of friends she has made throughout her lifetime.   

Surviving are two sons: Ross S. Hill (Jenna) of Temple, PA and Thomas F. (Mindy) of York, PA; and three grandchildren: Aidan, Emma and Ruby.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, November 9th at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 from 5:00-7:00 PM. A celebration of Lillian’s life and interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
