Kathy Fay Hostetter

Kathy Fay (Scheaffer) Hostetter, 61, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, September 17, 2021.  She was born Friday, June 10, 1960 to Dean Scheaffer and the late Margaret (Strickler) Duppler.  She is survived by her loving husband, of almost 37 years, George Hostetter.

Kathy had a passion for caring for animals.  She was a great gardener and an even better friend.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren above all.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: Jessica Plack and husband Christian, Chris Musser and wife Carissa, and Tiffiny Martz and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Owen Wallace, Alex Plack, Gabriel Musser, and Lucas Martz; step mother, Dorothy Schaeffer; step father, Ken Duppler; siblings, Gary Schaeffer, Deb Wolfgang, Susan Grogan, Keith Schaeffer, Scott Schaeffer, Kenny Duppler, Jr., Duane Duppler, and Mary Ann Nivens.  She is predeceased by her brother Robert Schaeffer.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Laurel Hill Memorial Garden, Columbia.
