Obituary
Joseph Schlum, Jr, 84, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born, Sunday, March 26, 1939 to the late Joseph Schlum, Sr., and Cozella (Hunter) Schlum. He is predeceased by his loving wife of over 31 years, since July 1, 2019, Virginia Ann (Rhen) Schlum.
Joe was a proud Navy Veteran. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, driving nice cars, dancing, and listening to music. More than anything he was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his children: Charles J. Schlum, of Lemoyne, and Cheryl A. Schlum, of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Brittany LewEllyn and husband Chris, Amoreena Lane and husband Brandon, Miranda Denardo and husband Dan, Logan Beard, and Madison and Chase Schlum; 10 great grandchildren; 4 stepchildren and their families. He is predeceased by a brother.
A memorial service will be held at Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10 AM at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 6098 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109. A small luncheon will follow the service at 11 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
