Jeffrey C. Myers, 69, a lifelong resident of Elizabethtown, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Cooper Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. Born in Lancaster, he is the son of the late J. Richard and Helen B. (Resko) Myers. He will be missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Valerie (Rovito) Myers.
Jeffrey was a history buff, especially genealogy. This will lead him to become the head of the Winters Heritage House Museum library, where he organized and catalogued as much information as he could. Jeffrey was the kind of person who made friends wherever he went. He was compassionate and liked to help others. His favorite place to vacation with his wife was the Prince Edward Inn in Cape May, NJ. To him that was a place of solace and friendship. He could often be found sitting on the porch and just enjoying the day.
He was also a member of the Abraham C. Treichler Lodge #682, F. & A.M., Elizabethtown and Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, and Harrisburg Consistory.
In addition to his wife, Jeffrey is survived by a daughter, Rachel Myers and fiancé David Tellado of Ephrata, two granddaughters, Emma Derstler and Sophia Tellado, and a sister, Debra Dykes & husband Jeffrey of CO.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. com Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jeffrey’s honor may be made to Winters Heritage House Museum, 47 E. High St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
