Irvin H. Meyers, 86, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at home, Monday, December 5, 2022. He is survived by his son, Cory Meyers.
Irvin served in the United States Army and was at Fort Dix, Company C in 1955, then Company B A.I. 1st armored division at Fort Polk in 1956. In his early years Irvin worked for the Hershey Factory, JC Hess Ford of Hershey, and Klick Lewis. Irvin retired from Hershey Medical Center where he worked in the laundry. He then worked part time for the Palmyra School District in the cafeteria.
He was an avid bowler, enjoyed working and reconditioning cars, and riding motorcycles. Irvin enjoyed dirt track racing which he started to attend in the early 1950’s. He was a Lance Dewease fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Margaret Meyers, his life partner Virginia Lee Moore and two brothers Terry Meyers and Raymond Meyers.
He is survived by his brothers, Karl Meyers (wife Linda), Ronald Meyers (wife Barb), Kenny Meyers, Denny Meyers (wife Joy) and their children. Also surviving him are his life partners daughters, Linda Gibson, Sue Knott, and Kelly Moore, and their children and grandchildren.
Service and interment will be private.
