Heather Noelle (Dorson) Knaggs

Heather Noelle Dorson Knaggs, 44, of Essex, MD, formally of Hershey, PA., joined her son Maddox and daughter, Kennedy in heaven on September 7th, 2023.

Heather was born on November 7th, 1978, to David Dorson and Vicki Zlater Dorson in Turnersville, NJ.  Soon after she was born, her family moved to Hershey PA., and Heather graduated from Hershey High School in 1997. She then attended Harrisburg Area Community College, where she received her Associate Degree in Business & Nursing. She continued her studies at Stevenson University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, which was a career she loved because she enjoyed helping people.

Heather lived life to the fullest, always up for the next adventure, including skydiving and traveling to tropical places.  She was a huge football fan and her favorite team was the Washington Commanders. She loved to read and spend time with her dog, Xena, friends and family, especially her mother, who was her best friend, and who she enjoyed watching Hallmark Christmas movies with. 

Heather was predeceased by her father, David L. Dorson, her son Maddox David Knaggs, and her daughter, Kennedy Noelle Knaggs. She is survived by her mother, Vicki Zlater Dorson, her dog, Xena and close family, Janell Malone Klein and Jerry Thomas, Fred and Deborah Zlater, Marlene Deimler, Bill and Marianne Dorson, Ken and Mary Kay Hunt, Bill and Karen Morgan, along with 13 first cousins and 19 second cousins. 

Viewing will be held at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with a time of prayer and sharing at 2:00 PM. Refreshments will follow in the Celebration Room.
