Edward Anthony Padilla

On Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 2:22pm, Edward Padilla passed away at the age of 60. Ed was born on March 1, 1962 in New Mexico.  He was born in Espanola, New Mexico.  Ed’s time of death was prophetic as 222 is known as the angelic number.  Spiritually it means that you are on the right path at the right time and are following joy to ascend to your soul‘s purpose and that is what he did at 2:22 pm on July 2, 2022. 

Ed was a passionate and caring man. He was known for his thoughtfulness, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit. Ed was a man of deep Christian faith and lived that faith in words and deeds.

Ed always went above and beyond to celebrate his friends, family, and co-workers. He never forgot a birthday and went out of his way to celebrate life. His loved ones could always look forward to a beautiful handmade piece of jewelry, cake, balloons or flower arrangement to show how much he cared.

Ed never, never sat still.  He was a jack of all trades and worked tirelessly to improve his house, his soul and the outlook of those around him. He threw himself into each job passionately and with his full heart. Ed faithfully served in the military for years, both the Army and the Coast Guard. 

Long ago he was adopted into the Shaffner household where he will be remembered by family members too numerous to mention. Most importantly, he was a lifelong friend and companion of Paul Shaffner and their adventures together were both memorable and hysterical.  He was a loving Grandson to Martha Shaffner who never let anyone forget that he was her grandson. His seven aunts and uncles will cherish him forever. He is survived by 14 cousins, 19 second cousins and Ed would want us to stop there. He is also survived by his Mother Mary Agnes, his father Tony, brother Jeffrey and sister Nanette (Demague). 

Visitation will be from 11:00 to Noon on July 11, 2022 with a brief service to follow at Noon. Visitation and the funeral service will be at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Arrangements have been entrusted with Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home.
