Donna R. (Becker) Harclerode

Donna R. Harclerode, 75, of Rheems, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born Wednesday, July 7, 1948 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Ruth E. (Sipling) Becker.

Donna lived a unique life full of both happiness and heartache. In April she was proud to celebrate 31 years in recovery. The joyful fellowship and friendships she experienced along the way were her greatest source of strength. Never one to shy away from talking to anyone about anything at any time, her gift to gab showed her genuine interest and caring for others. Quick to laugh and slow to judge, she wanted to like (and be liked by) everyone. Donna was also a house plant whisperer and shopping aficionado. Her ability to nurse plants back to health was amazing and her passion for buying nice clothes was unrivaled. But most of all she enjoyed the simple things in life, spending quality time with friends and family.

Donna is survived by two daughters: Lisa M. May and husband Harry of Liverpool, and Lynn E. Clark and husband Ed of Selinsgrove; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister Jean M. Lee and husband Michael of Ashburn, VA. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Jeffrey R. Becker.
