Donald Marotta Obituary

Donald M. Marotta, 85, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Born Monday, January 15, 1934 to the late Anthony and Anna Maria (DeFluri) Marotta.

Don was a proud Korean War Veteran who worked as an aircraft mechanic during his time of service.  He continued his work as an entrepreneur owning his won business.  He enjoyed woodworking and traveling in his spare time as well as spending time with family. Most importantly he was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Donald is survived by his former wife: Andra (Mueller) Marotta; children; Lisa Ficarra and husband Jim, Karen Loehr and husband Mark, and Nickolas Marotta and wife Colleen; grandchildren, Melanie and Dominic Ficarra, and Adam and Michelle Loehr; and 2 great-grandchildren.  He is predeceased by his siblings, Paula Hartnagle, Rosaria Nugent, Carl Marotta, and Manfred Marotta.

A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Sell Chapel at Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.  A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at St. John’s Cemetery, Drums, PA.  

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to any Masonic charity of your choice.
