Obituary

Daniel R. DeGaetano, 70, of Palmyra, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Born in Mount Carmel, he is the son of Raymond A. and the late Dorothy A. (Lucas) DeGaetano. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 48 years, Sheila R. (Richwine) DeGaetano.

Daniel was a talented mechanic and electrician who worked numerous jobs over the years, including The Hershey Company. His mechanically inclined mind was always at work with different hobbies, including building and tinkering with R/C cars, 3D printing, and gunsmithing. In his younger years he worked on racecars. Daniel also enjoyed riding his Harley.

He was a member of the Eureka – West Shore Masonic Lodge No. 302, F&AM, Mechanicsburg.

In addition to his wife and father, Daniel is survived by two children, Teresa L. DeGaetano of Palmyra, and Brian A. DeGaetano of Dillsburg. He was predeceased by his mother, sister Rae Ann Reed, and brother David A. DeGaetano.

Services will be private Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Palmyra, PA. 717-838-9211
