Charlotte Romaine (Barrick) Howard

Charlotte Romaine (Barrick) Howard, 81, of Manheim, passed away at home with family by her side on Tuesday, October 29th. She was born Saturday, February 27, 1932 in Dellville, PA to the late Russell E. and Stella M. (Byers) Barrick. She is survived by her loving husband Robert L. Howard.

Charlotte retired from Hershey Foods after 44 years of loyal service and was a member of BCTGM Local 464 Chocolate Workers Union. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church. Charlotte took leisure in reading and traveling, but most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Roxanne Barnes and husband Douglas of Longs, SC; 2 grandsons, Michael Anderberry of Ono and Timothy Anderberry and wife Carol of Punxsutawney; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Young; a sister Mary A. Donley of Middletown; a brother, Harry Barrick and wife Pat of Lebanon; and a sister-in-law, Lura Barrick. She was predeceased by 3 siblings, Lloyd and Paul Barrick and Minnie Herr.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 5th at 11 AM at St. John's Evangelical Congregational Church, 683 Steelstown Road, Annville, PA 17003 with Rev. William J. McEllroy, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Monday, November 4th from 6 to 8 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078, and on Tuesday, at the church, from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
