Barbara A. (Wilhide) Krout

Barbara Ann (Wilhide) Krout, 74, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, January 25, 2016 in Select Medical, Harrisburg.  She was born Sunday, November 30, 1941 in York to the late Ernest, Sr. and Ruth (Miller) Wilhide.  She is survived by her loving husband Earl Raymond Krout, Jr..

Barbara was a faithful and dedicated member of the Church of God.  She enjoyed working with her hands, doing crafts such as scrapbooking and macramé, as well as cooking, canning, and working in her flowerbeds.  She was an avid reader of mystery books and a stamp collector.  She loved spending time with her granddaughters.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her husband she is survived by 2 daughters, Christine Krout and Marlene Sheppard and husband Dr. Todd Sheppard; a son, Eric Krout; 3 granddaughters, Leia, Reagan, and Evie Sheppard; and 3 siblings, Ernest Wilhide, Jr., Bruce Wilhide, and Ellen Danner.

A memorial services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.  Family and friends are invited for a visitation from 1:30 PM until time of the service.
