Adalene Elizabeth (Allen) Lord, 93, of Palmyra, passed away at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. She was born Saturday, September 20, 1924 to the late Edward C. and Adalene (McKinney) Allen. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Clifford B. Lord, Jr., a WWII veteran who served in the 121st infantry of the 8th division in the European theater.
A lifetime dancer, Adalene danced in the USO during WWII and taught line dancing until she was 87 years old. She also enjoyed spending time in Avalon, NJ at the beach where she owned a home for 35 years. During the winter months they would travel to the Florida Keys. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband she is survived by daughter, Suzie Linebaugh; son, Clifford B. “Kip” Lord, III and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Josh and wife Carrie, Johnathan and wife Megan Linebaugh, Timothy S. and wife Katie and Trevor B. Lord; great grandchildren, Ada, Sam, Liam, Callie, and Anna Linebaugh, and Sean Lord.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 26th at 1:30 PM at the DiMatteo Worship Center at the Londonderry Village, Palmyra. A time of visitation will follow immediately after the service.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Lebanon Valley Bible Church, Missions Committee, 1482 Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon, PA 17042.
