Yvonne W. Chany

Yvonne W. Chany, 85, of Palmyra, passed away in her home on Friday May 17th. She was born on September 27th, 1927 in Philadelphia to the late Dr. Charles and Pauline Worrell. She was predeceased by her loving husband Kalman J. Chany and their daughter Andrea.

Yvonne was a graduate of Penn State College where she swam on the varsity swim team. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit parish and shared her passion for history through her membership to the Hershey Civil War Roundtable and the Hershey WWII Roundtable. Yvonne was an avid reader and lifelong swimmer. Most important, she was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her oldest son, Chris and his wife Patti, and her youngest son, Kal, as well as her two beloved grandchildren, Christopher Thomas & Kathryn and Kate's husband Mike.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 23rd at 10 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA with Father James F. Podlesny as celebrant. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday, May 22nd from 6-8 PM at Rothermel's Funeral Home, 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra.
