William “Bill” P. Schubart
William “Bill” Post Schubart, 95, of Palmyra, PA formerly of Palmyra, VA passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra. He was born Sunday, July 25, 1920 in New York City to the late William John and Florence (Post) Schubart. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 ½ years, Barbara-Ann Cole (Howell) Schubart.
He is survived by a son, William Jay Schubart and wife Jane Ruth of Linglestown, PA; a daughter, Wendy Jane Greenblatt of Ecuador; and a grandson, Oliver V. Gould of San Francisco, CA.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bill retired from Mobil Oil as the Eastern Division Manager with 45 years of dedicated service. He resided at Lake Monticello, VA for 25 years and was an active golfer and avid boater. He was very active in his church membership.
A memorial will be held on Tuesday, December 8th at 1 PM at the DiMatteo Worship Center at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Rd., Palmyra, PA with Pastor Greg Wilson officiating. Burial will proceed the memorial service in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
