William C. Witman

William “Bill” C. Witman, 68, of Orefiled, PA passed away July 1, 2023. He was the son of the late Claude E. & Lois (Hartzel) Witman.

He spent his working career as a construction worker and later owned his own barbeque business. Bill loved his family and cherished spending time with all, especially his granddaughters. He was a hardworking man who would help anyone. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and cracking a good dad joke. He was a proud Navy veteran who served on the USS Handcock CVP-19 as a gunner’s mate from 1973-1975.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Christine Witman; children: Billie Cosgrove-Tavales (Luis), Benjamin Witman (Saraya Paul), Nathan Witman (Myscha Bowles) and Jocelyn Rodriguez; grandchildren: Angelina, Ava, Alivia, Sage, Riveira and Evora; siblings: Sondra Coble, Tina Mujevic, Claude Witman, Wendy Rosati and April Perez. He is preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to any cancer research fund of your choice.

A graveside service will be held Monday July 10, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Middletown Cemetery.
