William C. Hamilton

William C. Hamilton, 71, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Elizabethtown and Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Tampa General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard and Dorothy (Neidig) Hamilton. He was married 46 years to Patricia M. Hamilton also of Tampa, FL.

Mr. Hamilton was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. He was a US Army Veteran and a graduate of Elizabethtown College.  He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his friends and family.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by a daughter Erica K. Hamilton of Lancaster; a son Brook A. Hamilton of Columbus, OH and a brother James Hamilton of Lakewood Ranch, FL.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Donegal Presbyterian Church, 1891 Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy at 2:00 PM. There will be no viewing. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.  A celebration of life will follow after the service and internment at Highlands of Donegal Golf Course for family and friends wishing to join.

In lieu of flowers or if desired, the family requests that contributions may be made to Donegal Presbyterian Church.
