William “Bill” A. Luby, 76, of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. He was born September 26, 1950, in Frankfurt, Germany, to the late Gerda (Pieper) Russell.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Brenda (Delozier) Luby; his daughters, Danya and Tara Luby; his grandchildren, Lucas Verello, Lennon and Noah Moyers; and his brother, Walter Luby.

Bill devoted much of his professional life to the aviation industry, building a career that spanned nearly five decades. He began his career with US Airways Express, where he held a variety of management positions before becoming Vice President of Fuel for Material Services Company, a subsidiary of US Airways Group. He later served as Vice President of Fuel Administration for Signature Flight Support.

In 2001, Bill became President of PAFCO LLC, a joint venture between Signature Flight Support and World Fuel Services, a position he held for more than 20 years. His long career reflected not only his expertise in aviation and fuel management, but also the dedication and work ethic that characterized so much of his life.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill’s greatest legacy is the family he leaves behind. He was a husband, father, grandfather and brother, and his life will be remembered through the people who loved him and the many years and memories they shared with him.

Bill’s family will especially remember his kindness. Even as Alzheimer’s changed so much in the later part of his life, that part of him remained. He was still Bill—the man who cared about the people around him and whose presence mattered deeply to his family.

Services will be announced at a later date.
