Willard R. “Bob” Stiles, 88, of Frackville, formerly of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Broad Mountain Nursing Home, Frackville. He was born Monday, March 1, 1926 in Pembroke Parish, Bermuda to the late Edward C. and Jennie A. (Tatem) Stiles. He was raised and later adopted by Malvina “Mally” and Oswald “Lea” Stiles . He is survived by his loving wife Helen D. (Jensen) Stiles.
Bob faithfully served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed for 49 years at DFT Inc., formerly Durabla Manufacturing Company. He loved bowling and was an avid stamp and coin collector. Bob loved sharing his gift of singing especially in the Derry Presbyterian church choir. He was a loving husband, and lived for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Debbie Bosack and husband Carl and Susan Ryan and fiancé Lester Andescavage; 8 grandchildren, Tabbitha, Carl, Stephani, Insley, Terry Jr., Desiree, Patrick, and Dylan; 11 great-grandchildren; and a k-9 companion, Baby Ben. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Stiles; and a sister, Clara “Alberta” Noelting.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 23rd at 1 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Rev. Gene L. Stevenson officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from noon until time of the service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
