Wayne S. Mumma, Sr.

Wayne S. Mumma, Sr., 73, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Middletown on Monday, March 4, 2019.  Born Thursday, February 21, 1946 in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Paul S. and Vernie R. (Sayger) Mumma.

Wayne enjoyed fast cars, shooting guns, watching western movies and loved reminiscing about old times.  He loved his family and valued his friends.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan Ebersole, of Highspire and a son, Wayne, Jr., husband of Belinda, of Elizabethtown.  Also surviving are a sister, Treva Yeatman, wife of Edward, of Tennessee and his grandchildren, Michael Lemons of Highspire and Miranda Mumma, of Elizabethtown as well as Wayne’s extended family and caring friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Open Door Bible Church, 200 Nissley Drive, Middletown, PA  17057 with Reverend Samuel Bereza officiating.  Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service on Monday.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wayne’s memory to Open Door Bible Church.
