Virginia W. "Ginny" (Williams) Nissley

Virginia W. “Ginny” Nissley, 87, of Juniper Village, Mount Joy, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born Saturday, January 11, 1930 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Vergie Marie (Paulus). She was the wife of the late Robert F. Nissley who passed in August of 1993.

Ginny was a long time member of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown and was a 1947 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. She loved baseball, football and cards, and was an avid Washington Nationals fan. In 1947 Ginny was employed as a payroll clerk for the Savoy Shoe Company, and later as a receptionist with Alvin Wenger, MD, Sam and John Barr, and retired from the office of Donald C. Fink, DPM.

She is survived by three nieces: Susan L. Groff (Wilbur) of Mount Joy; Joanne Schreffler of Harrisburg and Diane Thomas of York; two nephews: John Nissley (Peggy) of Mount Joy and Jack Nissley of Elizabethtown.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 247 South Market Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
