Virginia E. "Ginny" Rissmiller
January 10, 1931 — December 26, 2018
Virginia E. “Ginny” Rissmiller, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born Saturday, January 10, 1931 in Temple, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Dorothy (Merkel) Walters. She would have been married 68 years to Ralph W. Rissmiller on January 27, 2019.
Everyone called her “Nana” and would most likely hear her say “love ya bunches”. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, playing cards, Hummel Figurines and was a wonderful cook. She loved the beach, but mostly loved spending time with her family. Ginny was a loving homemaker and in earlier years, volunteered at Masonic Village.
In addition to her husband, Ginny is survived by two sons: Barry W. Rissmiller and wife Carla of Elizabethtown, and Terry L. Rissmiller and wife Pam of Hummelstown; and six grandchildren: Lori Rissmiller-Kovach, Jami Zimmerman and husband Mark, Michael Rissmiller, Matthew Rissmiller, Mark Rissmiller and Allison Rissmiller. Ginny was the last of her siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
