Virginia (Hummel) Dove

Virginia Dove, 79, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.  She was born Tuesday, January 26, 1943 to the late Theodore and Ella (Myers) Hummel. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 58 years, Floyd Dove.

Virginia enjoyed spending time at the beach, traveling, playing the trumpet, and going out to eat.  She was very social and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. More than anything she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: Sheila Rudy and husband Michael, Wayne Dove and companion Jennifer Gumert, and Lori Baker and husband Dwayne; grandchildren, Derek Krizan and wife Lindsey, Zachary Youtz, Rachel Dove, Daymon Long and wife Alexandra, and Layla Baker; great grandchildren, Lucas and Finley Krizan; and brother, Theodore Hummel and wife Lois.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11:30 AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of viewing will be held from 10:30 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Campbelltown Community Bible Church, 1149 S. Forge Rd., Palmyra, PA 17078.
