Virginia L. Bowser

Virginia L. Bowser, 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025. She was born on June 24, 1943 to the late Frank and Lucille (Hetrick) Nates. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Allen J. Bowser, who passed in 2019.

She enjoyed spending time with her friends and talking about her beloved husband. Virginia was a youth counselor for many years and played a role in so many lives that she touched, being a mom to so many. She was a longtime member and secretary of North Apollo Church of God, North Apollo. In addition to that she worked for several years at the Valley Daily News and then went on to raise her children at home. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by her children, Darci Reeser and husband Floyd, Traci Blystone and husband Melvin, and Staci Moore and husband Dan; grandchildren, Heather, Nathaniel, Indie, Noah, Samuel, Kody, Kameron, Kayli, Ryan, Autumn, and Conner; great grandchildren, Rory, Gage, Piper, Crosby, Briar, Gretalyn, Terry, Leyna, Lincoln, Kyrie, Delilah, Persephone, Floyd, Clara, Evelyn, Blake, Jonathan, Maylynne, and Olexi; siblings; Marcus Nates and wife Sharon and Maxine Buchanan. She was predeceased by her sister, Glenda Gentile and a great grandchild, Nixie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd at 1PM at Hammers Street Church of God, 906 Hammers St., Portage, PA 15946. A time of visitation will be held from noon until the start of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
