Violet Frazier Gingrich, 93, of Hummelstown, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving husband, Harold, in the morning of Thursday, July 17, 2025, and is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
Born in Hockersville (Hershey), she was the daughter of the late Sarah Jane and George Moses Frazier. She was preceded in death by a brother, Moses Marvin Frazier, and a sister, Alice Rachel Frazier. Surviving her are husband, Harold Gingrich, son Delbert Gingrich, daughter, Kathy Hunter (Bob), granddaughters, Laura McLeod (Michael) and Rachel Hunter, and one great granddaughter, Eden McLeod. She is also survived by her brother, Leon Frazier and many caring family members.
Violet and Harold met at Hershey High School and were married 76 years. They lived on the family farm since 1966, where Violet was content to be a homemaker, devoted to her family. She loved making Sunday dinner and having the whole family gather for a meal of roast beef and mashed potatoes. She was always thinking about others needs over her own. Anyone who knew Violet would describe her as selfless, sweet, loving, and very humble. She was dear to all who knew her, loved gospel music, and most of all, her Lord and Savior.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23 at 11AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Interment will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, PA. Family and friends are invited to view from 10AM until the time of service.
