Verna P. (Eisenhour) Ness

February 5, 1928 — June 14, 2019

Verna P. Ness, 91, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2019.  She was born Friday, February 5, 1928 to the late Jacob and Elizabeth Eisenhour.  She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Paul Ness.

Verna was a collector of owls who was a faithful member of her church, the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed spending her weekends at the Saturday Market with her friends and loved children and her family more than anything. Verna had a love for the Star Barn because she lived in the old brick home attached to the old Star Barn off of 283.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her adopted children, Sallie O’Donnel, and Kelly Reho and her children Nikita Neiswender and Tommy Jones; granddaughters, Shannon and Doreen Bittinger, and Gina Firdaoussi and husband Adil; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Dakota, Amanda, Charity, Preston, Aries, Christopher Sanchez, Angie Sanchez, Brandon Sanchez, and Amin Firdaoussi; brothers, Jacob Eisenhour and Clarence Eisenhour; sisters Shirley Watz and Dottie Grub.  She is predeceased by her children Pattie and Connie Betz and two siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 11AM at the Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown, PA 17057 with Reverend Brad Gilbert officiating.  A time of viewing will be held from 10AM until the start of the service.  Burial will follow at Bindnaugles cemetery, Hershey.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to her church, Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 890 Ebenezer Rd., Middletown, PA 17057.
