VELMA F. KLOHR
Velma F. Klohr, 95, formerly of Fredericksburg and Myerstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Cedar Haven Nursing Home, Lebanon.
She was born on September 29, 1917 in Fredericksburg, PA to the late Daniel F. and Florence E. (Rudy) Krissinger.
Velma had been employed at the Manbeck & Kissinger Poultry Co. in Fredericksburg as an office clerk and was retired from the Evangelical Congregational Retirement Village in Myerstown as a medical records clerk.
For many years she served as the Sunday School Superintendent and a Teacher at the Fredericksburg United Brethren Church, in her later years she attended the First Baptist Church of Lebanon.
She was a member of WCTU of Myerstown and AARP.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. “Russ” Klohr, her two sisters Ethel Wikel, Toletha Smith and her brother Harvey Krissinger.
Surviving are her brother Verling Krissinger of Lehigh Acres, FL, her two nieces Doris Chobanoff of Lebanon, Lanetta Kneasel of Osburn, Idaho, and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Cedar Haven Nursing Home with Rev. Ray Kanoun officiating.
Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville, PA.
Viewing will be from 10am until 11am on Monday in the Chapel of Cedar Haven Nursing Home.
Arrangements are under the care of the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Elizabethtown.
