TRICIA D. LETCHER
Tricia D. Letcher, 34, a resident of Sunny Crest Homes of Morgantown, passed on to her Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Ephrata Hospital.
She was born on October 26, 1979 in Suffern, New York to William and Edwina Sherrie (Maitland) Letcher, now of Elizabethtown. Surviving in addition to her parents are sisters Donna Moulin of Virginia, Roxanne Tavakkol of New Jersey, brother Gary Letcher of Maryland, five nephews and a niece.
Tricia grew up in Ramsey, New Jersey, and graduated from Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
She worked in the Ramsey Public Library.
Tricia worked at Beechdale Animal Supplies.
Animals seemed to be drawn to her, and she had a special bond with them.
For many years she took her dog and other animals to nursing homes on Saturdays to visit the residents as part of a 4H Ther-Happy pets program.
She was a winner in the Special Olympics, winning many medals in swimming, including first place in backstroke in the NJ state finals.
All her life Tricia coped with Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare disability.
She was much loved by her family.
A memorial service will be held at a time not yet determined.
Arrangements are under the care of the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory of Elizabethtown.
