Thomas W. Norcott

Thomas W. Norcott passed away on Friday, August 29th, at 11:45AM. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 6th, 1946 to Patrick and Ellen Norcott, both of NFLD. Tom was the youngest of 7 children, of which he joins 3 of them in Heaven. Tom married the love of his life, Catherine, on February 7th, 1970. They were able to celebrate their 55th Wedding Anniversary together.

Tom and Cathy raised their children, Bridget and John, in Freeport, NY. They were all active members of St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Baldwin, NY, where Tom and Cathy both were involved with Pre Cana. After moving to Elizabethtown, PA, in 2006, Tom became very active in St. Peter Catholic Church. He was involved with many ministries, including being a lector, Baptism preparation, This Man Is You (TMIY), the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), and loved building bicycles for St. Vincent De Paul. He helped out by running weekly errands at the local Food Bank, donated time and money to the winter homeless shelter, and was very active in the Lancaster Interfaith Coalition, believing that everyone had the right to believe in whatever God they deemed worthy.

Tom is survived by his wife, 2 children, and 5 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 3PM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Rd., Elizabethtown with Father Bernard Oniwe officiating. A time of viewing will be held from 1PM until the start of mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your local Alzheimer's association or St. Peter Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.
