THOMAS S. MERWIN

Thomas S. Merwin, 81, of the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown and formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the Masonic Village.

He was born on November 16, 1931 in Philadelphia to the late Harold S. and Mary (Shoener) Merwin. He was raised in Jenkintown, PA and graduated from the Germantown Academy Class of 1950.

Thomas was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from Kurtz Bros. as an educational salesman.

He was a 50+ year member of Friendship Williams Lodge #400 F&AM; he was a very intense collector of Disney Toys from the very beginning as well as tin toys.

Tom and his wife, Rosemary, spent summers at their home in Avalon, NJ, where he enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his wife Rosemary M. Merwin, a daughter Margaret Giannetti and her husband Gary of Dresher, three sons James Merwin of Daytona Beach, FL, Allen Merwin and his wife Linda of Collegeville, James Malone and his wife Patti of Delhi, NY, a sister Frances Comly of Gwynedd, two grandchildren Derek and Taylor.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Sell Chapel on the grounds of the Masonic Village.

Visitation will be from 1:30pm until 2pm on Saturday in the chapel.
