Thomas (Tom) Hursh Martin, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday December 28th, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born on Wednesday July 13, 1938 to the late Moses & Mary Martin.
Tom was the proud and hard-working owner of Martin's Exxon and Towing in Hershey for 30+years. He was an active member of Grace Chapel where he served as Deacon, Usher, and head of the kitchen for many years. Tom enjoyed watching Phillies baseball but especially loved watching all of his grandchildren's sports and activities.
Tom is survived by a sister, Mary Elizabeth of Ephrata as well as by his daughters, Suzanne Hall and husband Steven, of Hummelstown, Mary Martin of Elizabethtown, and Joanne Smith and her husband Daniel of Elizabethtown. He also had 4 Grandchildren, Brandon Martin, Ashley Kautz (Daryl), Jenifer Luckenbill (Andrew), and Dakota Smith, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Alexis Martin, Emma Fink, Ella Luckenbill and Grayson Luckenbill, and one Great Great Grandson, Weston Martin. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by 12 siblings and his loving wife Betty of 50 years.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in Grace Chapel, 2535 Colebrook Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Viewings will be on Friday, January 2nd from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, January 3rd from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Grace Chapel. Burial for immediate family will be in Conewago Church Cemetery.
