Theresa A. Benkovic

Theresa A. Benkovic, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2020 after a long battle with Huntington’s disease at the South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain.  She was born Tuesday, July 17, 1962 to the late John and Sally Jane (Rogers) Benkovic.

Theresa graduated from Steel High in 1980 and went on to continue her education at Millerville State where she graduated in 1984.  She was an elementary teacher in both Pennsylvania and California.  Most importantly she was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her daughter: Amanda Benkovic; brother, John Benkovic; and sisters, Karen Battenhausen and Sharon Benkovic. She is predeceased by a sister, Sallie Jane Phillips.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family and burial will take place at  Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg, next to her parents.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the caregivers at South Mountain Restoration Center who went above and beyond caring for Theresa.
