Theo A. (Sweigart) Lovinger, 102, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Middletown. Born Wednesday, May 28, 1919, in West Donegal Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Brubaker) Sweigart. She was married to Max H. Lovinger for over 50 years until his death in 1995.

Theo was a wonderful artist, and her oil paintings can be seen hanging in her families’ homes. Theo enjoyed gardening, sewing, puzzles, and loved spending time with her family. She was so caring and compassionate, always thinking of others and was beloved by all that knew her.

She is survived by two children: Judith H. DeArmitt, of Middletown and Jack M. Lovinger, of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as Theo’s extended family and caring friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters, 3 brothers, son-in-law, Kenneth DeArmitt and a daughter-in-law, Jean Lovinger.

Private services and interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543.
