Thelma M. (Weaver) Leonard
Thelma May (Weaver) Leonard, 84, of Palmyra, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born Thursday, June 13, 1929 in Hershey to the late Charles H. and Tracy E. (Funkhouser) Weaver. She was predeceased by her husband Mark Leonard.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen White and husband Samuel; 2 sons, Kevin Leonard and wife Elizabeth and Keith Leonard; 2 grandsons, Justin and Kyle Leonard; a great-granddaughter; a brother Paul Weaver and wife Judy; and several nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Weaver.
Thelma was a faithful member of Palmyra First E.C. Church and was active in the choir. She enjoyed singing, gardening and painting and was an avid Phillies fan. Most importantly she was a loving mother.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30th at 2 PM at Palmyra First E.C. Church, 55 W. Main St., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor Jan Fryer officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Kindred Place, 1 Kindred Place, Annville 17003.
