Susan D. Doremus, 60, of Hummelstown, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born Monday, June 24, 1963 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Sue-Z-Q spent her childhood living in Levittown, PA, Middletown, PA, & Hollywood, Florida, and ultimately graduated from State College High School in PA. She completed her Associate’s Degree from Elizabethtown College. Sue spent the majority of her career at Elizabethtown College as the bookstore manager and most recently worked at Ollie’s in Harrisburg.

Sue-Z-Q truly lived every day as if it may be her last. Her passion for life and desire to live it to the fullest is a lesson that many learned from her. Her love for music served as a strong bond to friends and family alike, spanning hundreds of concerts over the years. Her endless search for the perfect hobby led her to have countless pets, own a horse farm, and most recently rack up countless miles on her beloved motorcycle.  She lit up every room with her positive attitude even in spite of many challenges in life. She touched the lives of so many through her various friend circles and volunteering, always putting others first and making the world a happier place.

She is survived by her son Chad Doremus and his wife Ilsa Doremus, her daughter Marissa Doremus and her partner Avi Lusana, her granddaughters Ava Gellenbeck and Laima Doremus, her sisters Carol Kupp & Linda Appleton, her brother Don Doremus, and many other cherished nieces, nephews, friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Robert Doremus and Jeffrey Doremus, her parents William Arthur Doremus, Jr. and Joan Eileen (Cain) Doremus, and grandmother Anna Lillian McGill Cain.

There will be a private service for family in the coming weeks, followed by a celebration of life open to all at Windmill Manor at Sunnyburn Farm in Manheim, PA on Saturday May 4th from 1-5pm.
