STANLEY M. GROY

Stanley M. Groy, 96, of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center. Born Monday, November 10, 1919 in Palmyra, he was the son of the late Henry and Rebecca (Merkey) Groy. He was the husband of the late Donzella (Williams) Groy who died in July 2000.

A graduate of Palmyra High School, Stanley served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. A plant manager, Mr. Groy was retired from the S. Kantor Company in Lebanon. He was a long time member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Hershey Region, the PA Dutch Region and the Horseless Carriage Club. He was an avid collector of antique and classic automobiles.

He is survived by a son Michael W. Groy of Hershey; a daughter Deborah Colaniro, Lebanon; two granddaughters: Jessica Eckenrode and Lori Peck and three great grandchildren; Brooklyn Hollinger, Brody Peck and Jagger Peck.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by four sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra at 11:00 AM. Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Hershey Cemetery.
