Shirley Mae (Itzoe) Kreiser

Shirley Mae (Itzoe) Kreiser, 81, of Wyomissing and formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018.  Born September 5, 1936, in York, she was the daughter of the late Maurice E. and Bertha M. (Hershey) Itzoe.  She was married to Edwin E. Kreiser for nearly 46 years until his death on February 7, 1999.

Shirley was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Elizabethtown.  She was an avid reader, especially of mystery novels and had a love for animals and a passion for flower gardening.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by four children: Cindy Croft, of Marietta; John Kreiser, of Reinholds; Sue Dishart, wife of Chris, of Mount Joy; and Jerry Kreiser, husband of Gloria, of Elizabethtown.  Also surviving are two sisters: Linda Itzoe and Karen Heisey, wife of William, both of Elizabethtown, as well as 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing held at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543 on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 6-8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM (Viewing 10-11 AM) on Friday, April 13, 2018, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Rev. Steven W. Fauser, as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to St. Peter Catholic Church, the Humane League of Lancaster County or to a charity of one’s choice.
