Shirley L. Shank

Shirley L. Shank, 79, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Masonic Village Elizabethtown.  She was born Wednesday, June 26, 1935 in Mt. Joy to the late Earl F. and Marie E. (Gilbert) Leedom.

She retired from Tyco Electronics where she worked as a leads assembler.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, John Wayne movies, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl A. Zink and husband Eugene of Manheim, and Stephanie L. Shank and husband Joel of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Colton J. Shank of Mt. Joy, and Cara M. Shank of Elizabethtown; a brother, Donald E. Leedom and wife Jacqueline of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Leedom of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, H. Earl Leedom; a sister, Doris “Dolly” Jackson.

Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to American Diabetes Association, P.O.
