Shirley Michener

Shirley Michener, 87, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, at home. She was born Tuesday, May 31, 1938 in Hershey to the late Russell Arthur and Mary (Laudermilch) Walborn. She was the wife of Nolan Michener, to whom she was married to for 66 years.

Shirley was a graduate of Nursing School, and pursed Maternity Nursing as her specialty. Shirley enjoyed being a wife and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a great cook and enjoyed working outside and around their Potter County Home.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by two daughters, Lisa, wife of Brian Krall, and LuAnn, wife of Charles Randall; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother Russell Walborn. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Walborn; and sisters, Betty Snavely, and Gail.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 64 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey, PA 17033. A time of viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
