Shirley Jean Kegerreis Dupert, 90, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. She was born Wednesday, July 31, 1935, in Campbelltown to the late Vincent P. Kegerreis and Georgianna E. (Kerr) Barndt. She was predeceased by her loving husband Paul E. Dupert on Tuesday, January 6, 1987.
She graduated from Hershey High School and dedicated her life to raising her children with love and devotion. As a mother, she instilled in them the teachings of Christ, nurturing their faith and values. A lifelong and faithful member of Salem United Church of Christ, she actively contributed to the church community. She sang in the choir and remained involved in church activities throughout her life. She also had a deep passion for gardening, spending hours tending to her plants and flowers, which brought her much joy. Above all, she cherished her family. She made it a priority to spend time with them at every opportunity, creating lasting memories filled with love and warmth. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion.
She is survived by seven children, Sandra Chandler and husband Louis of Palmyra, Richard P. Kegerreis of Pine Grove, Cheryl L. Morse and husband John of Loxley, AL, Dawn M. Andrews and husband Richard of Palmyra, Paula J. Hoffa and husband Kevin of Palmyra, Jason P. Dupert and fiancé Shelley Zander of Jonestown, Lisa M. Shott of Palmyra; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Anna Mae Werni and husband George; a brother, Thomas Barndt. She was predeceased by an infant daughter.
Private burial will take place in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra at the convenience of the family. Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Salem United Church of Christ, 2761 HorseshoePike, Campbelltown, PA 17010.
