Sheldon L. Reed

Sheldon L. Reed, 78 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his home.

Sheldon was born on March 5, 1937 in Pottsville to the late Elmer & Marie Reed. He was the husband of the late Pamelia (Lerew) Reed, who died in 2007.

Before retiring, Sheldon was the owner of Reed Chevorlet and the General Store in Elizabethtown. Previously, he worked for Sutliff Chevorlet and served in the army. He graduated was Valedictorian from West Shore Joint High School in 1955 and attended Franklin & Marshall College.

In addition to his beloved dogs, Rosie and Baily, he will be deeply missed by his neighborhood family and Florida friends, who helped care for him over the years.

Sheldon is survived by his late wife’s nephews, Jay Lerew and John Lerew, both of Florida, and his goddaughter, Tammy Gable of Baltimore, Maryland.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022, with Reverend A.J. Domines officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-3pm.

Private interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs, PA.
